Start Smart – Registration Form

This fundamental motor skill development program is aimed at preparing young future athletes to participate in organized sporting activities. Children that enter youth sports programs with fundamental motor skill competence and confidence are much more likely to improve their skill performance. The goal of this program is to equip participants with fundamental motor skill competence and confidence in order to make their future youth sport program experiences more enjoyable. This program is designed to be a parent (or adult) / child activity. The adult/child pairs work together at various skill stations throughout the program. Each pair will receive a participant manual that includes a wide range of skill development drills that will be utilized within the program and could be also done at home. The program is Monday evenings at 6:00 P.M.

*Tumbling: Ages 3-5 – Registration Form

Join the Cedar Valley SportsPlex tumbling class! We teach beginner tumbling moves to kids while helping them develop body awareness, flexibility and strength. This beginning class is designed for children who have little to no experience with tumbling. It is a safe and enjoyable way for children ages 3 to 5 begin tumbling. Program will meet on Mondays and Wednesday 5:30-6:30 PM for four weeks beginning October 23rd

Turkey Shoot (Ages: 4-14 w/ Parent)  

Sponsored by: Waterloo Optimist Club 

All participants must be residents of Waterloo.
A Turkey Shoot team will consist of one child and one parent listed under the child’s age group.  Parents may compete with more than one child.  Each team member will shoot ten basketball free throws.  The total number of baskets made by each member will determine the final team score.  The top team in each category will receive a ham or turkey.  (One winner per-family.)  In the event of a tie, a shoot-off will determine the 1st or 2nd place winners.  The high school free throw rule applies to all age categories except 4-9 year olds, who will shoot from a shorter distance and use a junior ball.  Girls, 10-14 years old, will use a regulation women’s basketball.
